Business English Examinations
BEC (Business English Certificate):
BEC was originally developed to meet a specific demand in the
Asia-Pacific region for Tests of English language in a business context. BEC
assesses all four language skills namely the Listening, Speaking, Reading and
Writing and enables candidates to improve these skills and learn to use them in
business. BEC exams are offered at three different levels of language ability:
BULATS (Business Language Testing Services):
BULATS offers organisations a fast, reliable and cost effective means of
assessing the Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills of groups of
employees and trainees. BULATS covers four languages, (English, French, German
and Spanish) and was developed in partnership with the Alliance Française, the
Goethe-Institut and the Universidad de Salamanca. The BULATS exams scores are
mapped at Level A1 to C2 on the CEFR.
